Make Way for the Important

“The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak”

–          Hans Hofmann

To live more simply in our age of distraction and instant gratification takes a degree of effort and commitment.  It can sometimes mean walking a road less travelled.   However, the benefits are more than worth any effort.

One of the biggest benefits of living more simply is that we start to really make way for what’s important in our lives.  We give those things room to breathe and develop.

What Is Important to You?

Your list will of course be your list and that’s how it should be.  However, once you have identified the handful of big rocks in your life that make your (What is Important) list it becomes easier to make that your focus and ensure that what you do in life supports that list in some way.

Once you develop a laser like focus on the things that are really important to you it also becomes very easy to identify those things that are not.  That leads to removing the unimportant and less important from your life and that’s when the real magic can begin.

So, what can you do today to make room for the important?
