At best, multi-tasking is a great way to get average (or often less than average) results from more than one thing at a time. At its worst it stops us completing anything of any value and makes us feel like we’re constantly spinning plates.
To get more done with less stress:
1) Single-Task
Being productive doesn’t mean doing lots of things at once. It means getting things finished, often one at a time so you can move onto the next task or goal. Put enough completed tasks/goals together and you’ll soon be very productive.
2) Prioritise the Important
Make sure what you’re single-tasking is important to you or your goals. Spending lots of effort on unimportant tasks doesn’t make them anymore important.
3) Rinse and Repeat 1 & 2
