Facing Ourselves

“To think in terms of either pessimism or optimism oversimplifies the truth. The problem is to see reality as it is.” – Thich Nhat Hạnh

Who am I?

What do I want?

What lights me up?

What do I stand for?

What will I not stand for?

What bad habits do I wish to be free of?  What good habits do I want to instill?

Are my current actions leading me in a direction that I am happy with?  If not, what am I doing to rectify my path?

What dreams do I want to realise?  How will I make them happen?

What attachments do I want to let go of?

To face ourselves is to start the process of knowing ourselves.  What we find, we may not always like but to live any other way is to live in denial.   To face ourselves will set us free.
