Life is not all white or black.  There is grey.

 

People are not necessarily pure evil or pure good.  A good person can do a wicked thing, a person inclined to ill will is still capable of acts of kindness.

 

Light casts shadows, and there is light on the other side of darkness.

 

There can be rough at the edge of smooth.

 

Absolutes are the exception, not the rule.  Constructs of our own making.  Constructs that can blind us to the ‘in betweens’.  Constructs that will allow us only to see one way as the way, when in fact there are many.

 

Life cares not about our opinions of what it should be.  It just is.
