Some Things I Believe In

I believe there is an elegant power in simplicity.

I believe there is beauty to be found in the signal, whilst avoiding the noise.

I believe that success is for us to define.  My version doesn’t need to fit you but it should fit me.

I believe tiny habits can support even the largest of goals.

I believe many of us confuse more with better.

I believe less can be more, but not always and that enough should be enough

I believe a kind word, or action, at the right time can really light someone else up and make their day.

I believe, beyond a certain point, freedom and flexibility becomes much more important than just earning more money.

I believe in love.  I believe in friendship. I believe in family.

I believe there is magic to be found just being in a natural and wild environment, if we take the time to notice.

I believe many of us over-complicate life.

I believe it is much easier to be a critic, than a creator of something positive.

I believe focus is too often drowned out by busy, in our modern-day culture.

I believe those that shout loudest often have the least interesting things to say.

I believe in the power of moving our own bodies.

I believe the power of a quiet, inner confidence is much more impressive that peacocking and puffing chests out.   I believe one is earned, that it is lived, and one is merely a front.

I believe travel to far off lands with different cultures to ours, teaches us much if we care to observe and listen.

I believe we should credit the source, not just copy and paste.

I believe routine can be a positive and a negative.  The right amount gives us structure and a positive foundation to launch from, too much can constrain our thinking and creativity.

I believe we are all individuals but fundamentally have pretty similar needs all at the same time.

I continue to believe in the power of the written word.

I believe words should be backed with action.

I believe the quest to try to be better tomorrow, than we were today, in some small way is a noble goal.

I believe in the power within.

I believe in inspiration.

I believe in random acts of kindness.

I believe too much time in our own heads is not good for us.  I believe too little time in our own heads is not good for us.

I believe solitude can enrich us but it should not to be confused with loneliness, which becomes toxic.

I believe we can all do our best to be a positive role model to someone in our lives.

I believe in kindness.  I believe it to be a sign of strength, not weakness.

I believe in being direct and straightforward, when a situation needs it.

I believe in being tactful, when a situation calls for it.

I believe common sense isn’t all that common.

I believe perfection is a myth but that striving for it can also be utilised as a positive North Star, if handled with care.

I believe we all have an inner compass that we must do our best to tap into to be at our happiest and point of highest contribution.

I believe we all owe the world we live in a service of gratitude and should be doing our best to leave positive footprints.

Mostly, I believe in believing in something.
