Embracing a Zen Outlook

“The practice of Zen is forgetting the self in the act of uniting with something”

– Koun Yamada

What would our lives look like without expectation? Without reading meaning into every single thought that popped into our head?

Would we be happier if we spent more time in gratitude?

What would our lives look like if we stopped chasing more of more?

How would we feel if we let go of trying to control that which will never be ours to control?

Paradigm Shift

The world needs more from us. The world needs us to step up.

How do we face this challenge?  Perhaps we can try to follow some less worn paths, embracing some of the quieter arts.

Perhaps we could:

Be kind.

Judge less.

Compare less.

Give more.

Show gratitude.

Be compassionate.

Own our own version of ‘success’.

Live simpler.

Think before we act.

Connect to what calls inside, rekindling our inner spark.

Feel more.

Accept what needs to be accepted.

Embrace a little Zen nature.

Let go of societal conditioning.  Let go of unhealthy expectations.  Rewiring and resetting our habits to serve us better.

Make a commitment to try our best to flow with life.

What would our lives look like if we started to follow this path?
