Simplify or Fritter Away

“This dew like life fades away; time speeds swiftly. In this short life of ours, avoid involvement in superfluous things and just study the Way.” ― Dōgen Zenji

Our lives can be frittered away chasing this and that.  Filling our days but failing to make space to look up and look around.  Always sprinting for an imaginary line that remains out of reach.  In a cycle of exhaustion of our own making.

Or we can walk another path.

A path of focus.

A path less busy.

A simpler path.

A quieter path.

A calmer path.

A path full of meaning.

We can simplify or we can fritter away.  The choice ours to make.
