Start From Now

“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.”

— C.S. Lewis

As you read this, you’re older than you’ve ever been before.  Paradoxically, you are also now as young as you’ll ever be again.

Sobering as this realisation may be, it’s a reality we all live with.

Time moves on.  It cares little about our plans or dreams.  It will do its thing regardless.  Time gone will never come back.  Memories aside, our days can only be lived once.

We can let the passage of time overwhelm us by looking back or wishing for days passed.  Or we can let time inform how we live our lives.

Living with Intent

We can acknowledge how precious a commodity time is in our lives by living our days with intent.  Choosing a life of contribution and meaningful exchanges.  We can focus our energy on what, and who, matters most to us.

We can make, and protect, space for what brings us most joy and awe.

We can invest in self-care practices that serve us.  Meditation, yoga, breathwork, movement, time in nature, hobbies, playing music, listening to music, reading, writing poetry.  It all counts.  It all matters.  Connect to what gives you the energy and peace you need.

We can honour the call inside.   We can uncover the spark within.  We can turn that spark into a flame.

There is power to be tapped in the present.  Power we can uncover.  There is magic to be found in the everyday, if we just pay attention.
