Break Point

We all have one.  We can all succumb to overwhelm as pressures in our lives build.

Whilst terms like self care and mindfulness are thrown around with reckless abandon, they are not always concepts that are easy to act on, as challenges in our lives accumulate.  As these challenges, seemingly small in isolation, build we can feel like we are suffering the equivalent of death by a thousand paper cuts.

Triggers are not easy to spot in real time.

Limits are not always understood, until we have passed them.

So we must do our best to establish a practice that can aid our journey.  Taking care of where our mind wanders.  Doing our best to arm ourselves with tools that will support us.

A first step in that practice can be acknowledging to ourselves that we all have our limits, we all have our breaking points, we can all have vulnerable moments.  Alongside this, we can also try to learn to look after ourselves just a little bit better.  This can take many forms but needs active attention.
